Wanderers surrender top spot just after two second round matches
Mighty Wanderers' unbeaten run can be described as useless now as it has failed to help them keep their top spot in the Super League after dropping two points to drop down to second in a goalless against Creck Sporting Club at the Balaka Stadium.
The Nomads went into the match leading by a point on top of the League but their slip has been capitalised by FCB Nyasa Big Bullets which had beaten Songwe Border United 1-3 in Karonga.
Bullets have three defeats and one draw but have secured 13 wins, two more than the Nomads to top the standings with 40 points while Nomads have 11 wins and 6 draws without a loss which adds up to 39 points.
Meanwhile, head coach Bob Mpinganjira downplayed remarks that the team is under pressure after losing the top spot.
"We are not under pressure as the League is still on, we just have to fix our problems and try to collect maximum points in the coming games." Said Mpinganjira.
