Kabvina blessed MAFCO with K10 million
The owner of the Champions Stadium at Mponela in Dowa, Msayiwale Kabvina, has blessed MAFCO FC with K10 million to help the team in management of their works in the second round of the League.
Kabvina presented the cheque to the military side on Sunday when the team played against Mighty Wanderers at the Champions Stadium in their second round opener where they lost 1-0.
Speaking after presenting the cheque, Kabvina said he thought of assisting the team after they approached him and that military sides are those that struggle most in the League.
"These government teams face a lot of hiccups as we hear that they've gone so many games without receiving their allowances and many other things so I believe this little money will help to solve some problems which they face." Said Kabvina.
On his part, team manager for the team Lovemore Mitengo thanked Kabvina for the morale booster to the team and a huge motivation to their side.
"People think that being a military side then we are able to get everything but we face problems because the military itself cannot afford to meet our demands, this season we don't have any sponsorship and thud money will help us more at the team." Said Mitengo.
The team's captain, Paul Khado Ndhlovu also thanked Kabvina for the assistance sand believed this will help players to up their game in the League.
"We are very thankful for the money as you know we face a lot of challenges and this will ease those problems." Said Ndhlovu.
Kabvina had helped also Kamuzu Barracks and Blue Eagles before and said he will not stop provided that he also find something as a businessman in his businesses.
The team is on position 13 on the log table with 17 points from five wins, two draws and 9 defeats, just a point above the relegation zone.
