Mwalilino strikes as Wanderers displace Bullets on League summit
Mighty Wanderers have retained the top spot in the TNM Super League after beating MAFCO 1-0 at the Champions Stadium on Sunday afternoon to maintain their unbeaten run in the League.
Blessings Mwalilino reacted to a save from Christopher Mikuwa to score the lone goal of the match and secure 11th win for the Nomads and reclaim the top spot which was taken by FCB Nyasa Big Bullets on Saturday.
Head coach for the Nomads, Bob Mpinganjira, was happy with the win as he said playing away from home is always tough.
"It was a good game, we played MAFCO last where we won so it was also hard to win today but we fought hard so that we get this win and I'm happy to move back on top of the League." Said Mpinganjira.
He also said that the team will look forward to record wins in most of the games they play so that they remain top.
They have 38 points from 11wins and five draws on top of the League, two points ahead of Bullets.
