Lungu misses penalty on Ekhaya debut
Ekhaya FC new left back, Alick Lungu, missed a penalty kick that could have guided the rookies past Blue Eagles as the two teams played a goalless draw at the Nankhaka Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Lungu was granted his first start after signing for the Cowboys last week after leaving FCB Nyasa Big Bullets as a free agent and wanted to mark his dream debut with a goal but Joshua Waka denied him from the 12 yards in a game that Ekhaya dominated much.
Meanwhile, Ekhaya FC head coach, Enos Chatama said a point away from home is good for his team and that missing a penalty is part of a game.
" It affected us but not much because it happens in the game of football, or even in Europe prominent players like Messi and Ronaldo do miss penalties so it happens and we move forward." Said Chatama.
Ekhaya are third with 13 points from four wins, one draw and three defeats and are five points behind the Leader's FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.
