Karonga suffer shock first League defeat
Karonga United have registered their first defeat of the 2025 TNM Super League season after going down at home 0-1 to Mighty Tigers on Saturday afternoon.
Boostered by their Airtel Top 8 2-0 win over Mighty Wanderers in the previous match, the Ingwina dominated the Kaukau boys but failed to unlock them as Grayson Msowoya's lone strike secured a win for the visitors.
Marking his first match since his return from his 8-months ban, Oscar Kaunda, humbly accepted the defeat.
"It is a painful loss, we dominated and controlled everything but Lucky was not on our side, we accept the defeat and we move on." Said Kaunda.
He also said many key players are injured and that the new boys struggled but 27 games are many to catch up and do better in the League.
The team still have 6 points now after three games on position 8 as they have managed to win two games and record on defeat.
