Stellenbosch knocks out Zamalek to reach CAFCC Semis
South African side, Stellenbosch Football Club, has made history to reach their first ever CAF Confederations Cup semi finals after beating defending Champions, Zamalek of Egypt 0-1 at home in Cairo on Wednesday.
The team went into the match tied on 0-0 as they played a barren first leg in South Africa but Silhe Nduli scored with 10 minutes left on the clock to guide the team into a historic win.
Following the win, they will play Tanzanian side, Simba SC, which also knocked out another Egyptian side, Al-Masry 4-1 on penalties after it ended 2-2 on aggregate.
Meanwhile, the second semi final fixture will be confirmed later today as Berkane face ASEC Mimosas while USM Alger play Constantine FC at 21:00hrs. The winners on aggregate for both matches will meet in the semis.
