FAM WARNS BIASED REFEREES

Football Association of Malawi has sent a strong warning to Referee who will be handling their poorly saying they will be suspended and punished thoroughly.

The association through its General Secretary, Alfred Gunda, said it's on Wednesday after the completion of workshop to teach referees some rules of the game ahead of the 2024 season.

Gunda said the mother body is tired of receiving complaints from different stakeholders of the game complaining about poor refereeing and warned them.

"Let me warn you all, anyone [referee] who will be found guilty of mishandling games and reports of any misconduct will surely his name be removed from handling the games." Said Gunda.

Meanwhile, FIFA Referee, Mayamiko Kanjere thanked the Association for the studies and asked his fellow referees to perform their work brilliantly to show the impact of the workshop.

16 center referees, 22 assistant referees and 17 match Assessors were available in the lessons which were c
