"WE ARE HERE BECAUSE OF MAULE" - AIRTEL DOUBTFUL ON CONTRACT RENEWAL

The Sponsors of the Airtel Top 8 Cup, Airtel Malawi, broke silence on whether they are going to extend their contract with Football Association of Malawi saying they are still under discussion.

The managing Director for the company, Charles Kamoto, said this at the Mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre during the award presentation ceremony. He said they came only for awards and not for contract renewal.

"We have been talking to FAM about the new deal, I will not say much but I will be able to say it on another day since today we are here because of Maule. The will come and we will tell you if we will still have the Airtel Top 8 but what I can say is that we are motivated." Said Kamoto.

The 2023 edition was delayed because of the violent acts in the match between Silver Strikers and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers that saw the Nomads vandalizing seats at the Bingu National Stadium.
