UD SONGO STEP UP LWEMBA'S CHASE

Mozambican giants, UD Songo,has shown their seriousness to sign defender, Chris Lwemba, after approaching Chitipa United for the services of the player.

A source told us that Songo contacted the Basongo officials on a phone call of which they were told to formally write a letter to the team as communication on the phone is not credible.

Meanwhile, the source has further informed us that Mighty Mukuru Wanderers also approached the player and his team of which Chitipa gave them a go ahead. It appears that Lwemba agreed terms with the Nomads.

Lwemba was one of the outstanding players in 2023 after helping Chitipa finish into the top four and also was nominated for the best defender of the season and best rookie awards.
