Former Flames and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets midfielder, Chimango Kayira, has said poor officiations by referees' in Malawi need to be addressed before it destroys something big.
Kayira wrote this on his Facebook page after incidents that happened at the Bingu National Stadium after Mighty Mukuru Wanderers protested a controversial Silver Strikers' goal leading to breaking of seats at the facility. Kayira says referees have been below par of late.
"The officiation challenges we are facing in our football needs to be addressed. Our beloved men in yellow have lately shown glimpses of inconsistency." Wrote Kayira.
In Silver Strikers vs Mighty Mukuru Wanderers match, referee Godfrey Nkhakananga awarded Silver Strikers a goal but after he had blown his whistle for a handball outside the box. Football Association of Malawi has withheld the results of the match.
