Civo unbeaten run comes to an end
Civil Service United 12-game unbeaten run came to an end in the TNM Super League on Saturday as Precious Sambani fired in a late winner for Nyasa Big Bullets.
The Servants were first to score at 15 minutes through Muhammed Sulumba free kick but 2 minutes later Chiukepo Msowoya leveled following lack of communication from Civo defenders.
It was later Bullets show who dominated the game and kept pressurising the visitors but at the break it ended 1-1.
Second half of the game, it was a 50-50 game from both sides.
At 88th minute Bullets won a corner and it was Precious Sambani who converted the set piece to a goal to make it 2-1.
This is the first defeat for Civo in 13 games they have played in TNM Super League. The Lilongwe based outfit are on position 3 with 24 points. Bullets maintained their 8 years home unbeaten run.
Bullets are now on position 2 with 25 points from 12 games they have played.
