Ekwendeni Hammers loses form

The Northern Region outfit, Ekwendeni Hammers, suffered a back-to-back defeat against Moyale Barracks on Sunday.

Moyale Barracks won the match comfortably 3-1 as they hosted Hammers at Mzuzu Stadium.

Gastin Simkonda, Brown Magaga and Lloyd Njaliwa scored for Moyale while Patrick Banda and Chawanangwa Gumbo netted consolation goals for Ekwendeni.

Last weekend the team also suffered a 1-2 defeat against Mighty Wanderers.

Hammers are now on position 4 with 19 points from 11 matches they have played in TNM Super League.

And the Kaning'ina Soldiers are 2 steps up the relegation zone with 12 points from 11 matches.
