Mitundu miss second spot in NDL
Mitundu Baptist missed a chance to regain the second spot and cut their gap onto Red Lions to 8 points after playing a 0-0 draw against Ntaja United in a match played at the Balaka Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Mitundu needed a redemption after failing to earn points in their opening two games and a win could have placed them above Baka City but failed to find the back of the net in the game.
Head coach for Mitundu, Audrow Makonyola, said the team had too much pressure of winning and was happy to earn their first ever point away from home.
"We have lost two games in the second round and we had a pressure to score so that we finally get a win and that was hard for us. It's our first point away from home and it's a surprise to us, we eye the top three and probably the first possible and our target remains the same," said Makonyola.
On his part, head coach for Ntaja United, Mabvuto Lungu said his team really struggled in the game and getting a point
