PASUWA DESCRIBES AFCON QUALIFIERS DRAW AS FAIR
Flames head coach, Kalisto Pasuwa, has downplayed fear after the team was drawn against Egypt, Angola, and South Sudan in the 2027 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers, describing the draw as fair.
Pasuwa said this in reaction to the draw held on Tuesday in Egypt, where Malawi will be in Group B.
He said it is a collective effort of all stakeholders that will help the team qualify for the continental tournament.
"It is a fair draw in my opinion as we have to play all teams. We played Egypt before, and a lot has changed since. Remember every game is new," said Pasuwa.
He also said, "For us to qualify, we just need to be in the same direction and leave aside the infightings."
The AFCON qualification is a must-target for the Zimbabwean tactician in his contract with the Football Association of Malawi.
