MPHASI EYES SECOND ZAMBIAN LEAGUE TITLE
Flames attacker Chifundo Mphasi is closing in on his second league title in Zambia as Power Dynamos extend their lead to 12 points over Red Arrows in the MTN Super League.
Mphasi played the full 90 minutes as Power Dynamos beat ZANACO 2-0 on Wednesday, as second placed Red Arrows drew 1-1 with Konkola Blades. Meanwhile, Chimwemwe Idana and Robert Saizi started for the Bankers but were substituted in the second half.
Power Dynamos need four points from their remaining games to secure the title, boasting 67 points from 29 matches. Red Arrows are second with 55 points and five games to play.
In other matches, Francisco Madinga was introduced at half time as Kansanshi Dynamos beat FC Muza 3-0 to claim maximum points. Zeliat Nkhoma and Patrick Macheso were both not available for the victors.
Christopher Kumwembe played 84 minutes as Green Buffaloes secured a vital 1-0 win over Green Eagles to stay away from the relegation zone.
