TIGERS RELEGATED FROM TNM SUPER LEAGUE
One of the longest serving teams in the TNM Super League, Mighty Tigers, has been relegated from the League after conceding late to suffer a 1-0 defeat against Blue Eagles at the Nankhaka Ground on Wednesday afternoon.
The Kaukau boys had favours from them as Goshen City Dedza Dynamos and Mzuzu City Hammers were trailing at the same time but had to let in a 92nd minute goal from Ranken Mwale to suffer the defeat.
Head coach Trevor Kajawa described the result as painful as the team wanted three points from the match.
''Towards the end the boys became complecant having seen that we are remaining with two minutes then we were caught and conceded in a painful,'' said Kajawa.
This means that Tigers, one of the highest producers of quality players and 1989 Super League champions have joined Songwe Border United in the list of relegated teams.
They are 15th on the table with 27 points from 6 wins, 9 draws and 14 defeats in the League.
