FOMO hand Kamwendo's first defeat
Joseph Kamwendo has been welcomed in the NBS Bank National Division League with a defeat as his former teammate, Jimmy Zakazaka guided FOMO FC to a comeback 1-3 win over Mchinji Villa at the Mchinji Community Ground on Saturday.
The hosts were the first to score through Jowao Davie on 28th minute but Chisomo Yakobe's own goal levelled for FOMO 8 minutes later before Thomas Grey' and Rashid Chilomo sealing the win in the second half.
Head coach for the Mulanje based side, Jimmy Zakazaka, said his team needed a win mostly as they dropped points in their previous two matches.
"It was a much needed win as we performed poorly in our past matches so I should the boys for playing well in the game to win this match." Said Zakazaka.
Meanwhile, Joseph Kamwendo said his team made avoidable mistake that cost them in the game.
"It was a good game as we started well and played well in the opening 40 minutes but after that we made silly mistakes and gifted
them a goal which gave them more energy so it's painful but the boys are learning." Said Kamwendo.
The result means FOMO rise up to 8th with 9 points from three wins and four defeats while Mchinji Villa remain winless on position 11 as they have three points from three draws and four defeats
