FOMO earns first win in NDL
FOMO FC have picked their first ever victory in the NBS Bank National Division League after beating struggling Jenda United side, 4-0 at the Mulanje Park Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Rashid Chilomo scored a hat-trick for the last year's elite League relegated side while Chitsanzo Saidi netted the other as the team got their first league points in style.
Head coach for the team, Jimmy Zakazaka, was happy with the win saying that was what they have been practicing during training.
"It was a very good game, the boys did well today, we have been practicing this during training but it was not working in thr past games but this time it has worked according to how we planned, we are very happy with the victory." Said Zakazaka.
Meanwhile, after losing all their three games in the League, head coach Obvious Banda accepted the defeat saying the team is still learning as it is of youngsters.
"We lost it from the word go and we had a pressure in the first minutes then we concedes those two early goals that disturbed us so it's a team of youngsters, we are still learning through it's getting out of hand because this is the third game that we have lost." Said Banda.
Following the win, FOMO FC move up to 7th on the table with three points from one win and two defeats having scored four and conceded three goals while Jenda are anchoring the 12-team table with no point from three matches.
