CRECK MISS THIRD POSITION
Creck Sporting Club blew away a chance to move up to third in the TNM Super League log table after suffering a 1-0 defeat in hands of Mighty Tigers in a match played at the Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday.
The rookies were looking for a league double over the Kaukau boys having won in the first round 3-1 at home but a Martin Msewa's 9th minute penalty strike sealed the win for the orange and black team.
The team's interim coach, Joseph Kamwendo, said his team tried to come back into the game in the second half but they missed a lot of chances which meant it was not their day.
"It was a difficult match, we conceded in the first half where we didn't play well and in the second half, we tried to change and towards the end we played well but we failed to score so I was not our day." Said Kamwendo.
The team had former Mighty Mukuru Wanderers players, Vincent Nyangulu and Muhammad Sulumba making debuts in the second half but could not rescue a point.
