KUMWEMBE, MPHASI FIRE BLANKS IN ZAMBIA
Flames forward, Christopher Kumwembe, failed to replicate his form in his debut match at Green Buffaloes after firing blanks in the team's 0-0 draw over Forest Rangers in the MTN Super League in Zambia on Wednesday.
Kumwembe scored and assisted one in the team 4-0 win over Indeni FC over the weekend and was trusted for a first spot in the team on Wednesday.
Despite not scoring, his performance in the game was impressive after having several attempts missed and save the opposition goalkeeper before Friday Samu replaced him on 77th minute.
Meanwhile, Chifundo Mphasi played for 66 minutes before being substituted as Power Dynamos picked an away point at Indeni FC.
The two forward are part of five Malawians plying trade in Zambia with some players such as Chawanangwa Kaonga and Robert Saizi for ZANACO and Mufulira Wanderers' Emmanuel Savieli.
