CHITIPA'S PERFECT RUN AT HOME CONTINUES
Chitipa United remain the only side in the TNM Super League 2023 season to have won all the games at the own back yard this season after extending the winning streak to 9 following a 2-0 win over Karonga United.
The team has won their all 8 home matches in the first round which included wins against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, Kamuzu Barracks, Moyale Barracks, Bangwe All Stars, Civo United, Dedza Dynamos, Extreme FC and Mighty Wakawaka Tigers.
Their 2-0 win against rivals, Karonga United sealed their 9th win at home and 10th of the season to the delightfulness of coach, MacDonald Mtetemera.
"I'm happy with the team, more especially the boys as they are listening to what they are told, we have a good squad and a youthful one and the position we are, puts us as contenders [of the league title]." Added Mtetemera.
Chitipa United lie second on the standing after amassing 32 points from their 16 games played this season.
