Supremacy battle! K17 million on the table
On Saturday, 18th December Airtel Top 8 final sets the platform for fans to decide which team is the best between Nyasa Big Bullets and Silver Strikers as they are scheduled to battle for K17 million.
The TNM Super League winners, Bullets reached the final after beating Mighty Wanderers 4-1 in the competitions semi-final while Silver Strikers won 2-0 against Civil Sporting.
And now its a matter of days remaining for the duo to lockhorns in the final to end talks that have been there amongst spectators.
Football Association of Malawi (FAM) who are administering the tournament have confirmed that the final will be played at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
According to the local governing football body preparations are at advance stage ahead of the Airtel Top 8 final fixture.
In 3 games Silver Strikers have played in Airtel Top 8 competition, they have scored 7 goals and conceded a goal. The Bankers have kept 2 clean sheets.
While the People's team in 3 matches they have scored 9 goals and conceded 3 goals without a clean sheet.
Overall, the competition has now recorded 26 goals and a hat-trick from the current top goal-scorer Babatunde Adepoju.
