Hammers suffer 11th defeat to stuck in relegation zone

Mzuzu City Hammers continue to struggle in the TNM Super League after suffering a 0-2 defeat over Silver Strikers at the Rumphi Stadium to remain in the relegation zone on Sunday afternoon.

The team has failed to replicate their last year's performance when they finished fourth in the League but we're stunned by Emmanuel Allan and Zebron Kalima's goals to continue dropping points in the League.

Head coach for the Hammers, Elias Chirambo said his team played well in the game only that they are failing to convert their chances which they need to beef up the squad ahead of the second round.

"We have some players coming to join the team of which mostly are strikers so that we solve the problem of not scoring but the team has been playing well in the last five games that I was in charge." Said Chirambo.
