Nkhoma lifts KB up to third
Kamuzu Barracks forward, Zeliati Nkhoma, scored a lone goal for the soldiers as they beat rookies, Ekhaya FC 1-0 at the Champions Stadium in Dowa to move up to third on the log table on Sunday afternoon.
The Soldiers sought for a redemption after they lost 0-2 in their match against Silver Strikers in a game beyond facing Ekhaya but Nkhoma's strike in the added time of the first half sealed the win.
Head coach for thr team, Nicholas Mhango, said both teams played good football but his team did not lose their energy as they got their goal towards the end of the first half.
"It was a good game, Ekhaya played well and we also played well, they wanted an early goal and we also wanted it but we kept the energy while our looked tired then we got the goal." Said Mhango.
Following the win, Kamuzu Stadium are up to third on possible with 9 points from five games in the League.
