MPONDA, SILVER FACE OFF IN LEAGUE OPENER

Defending Champions, Silver Strikers, will kick start their title defence by facing the coach who guided them to a League Championship, Peter Mponda, on the opening day of the 2025 season when they face FCB Nyasa Big Bullets on 05th April 2025.

This has been confirmed in Super League of Malawi's lette which has been signed by the General Secretary, Williams Banda.

The two teams have been forming a rivalry in the years as Mponda raced against his former head coach at Bullets but now has switched teams going to the Red side this season.

Meanwhile, SULOM has also communicated to teams that the transfer window will be closed on 28th March 2025 and that teams should submit their two home grounds and colours of kits to be used during the season.

The opening match between the two teams will be played at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
