TEMWA NAMED THE BEST IN USA

Scorchers forward, Temwa Chawinga, has been named as the best player in the National Women's Soccer League after having a stellar season with Kansas City Current in her first season in the League.

The forward was nominated for the award alongside other four players after scoring 20 goals and provided 6 assists in 25 games in the League more than anyone.

However, she also broke several record as the most goals scored in one season ever, the first to score in 8 consecutive games, the first to score against each opponent in a running season and won three players of the month awards.

She adds that accolade to the golden boot award however her team was knocked out in the semi finals of the playoffs.
