HAIYA PLEADS FOR NON-VIOLENT FINAL
Football Association of Malawi President, Fleetwood Haiya, has asked all football fans that will watch the FDH Bank Cup final at the Bingu National Stadium to avoid any kind of violence to spice up the event.
Haiya wrote this message on his Facebook page ahead of the much anticipated match in Lilongwe and reminded people that football is a game meant to bring people together.
"So regardless of which team you support, let's show respect to each other, the players, and officials. No violence of any kind is permissible, no insults—just pure love for the beautiful game."
"Together, we can create an atmosphere of unity and sportsmanship. Let’s enjoy the match, celebrate the talent on display, and leave the stadium clean as proud supporters of fair play." He wrote.
This is the second time top flight league team is meeting a lower league side as FCB Nyasa Big Bullets faced FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve in 2022.
