BAKA CITY RULES KARONGA

SIMSO and Innobuild Northern Region Football League champions, Baka City, continue to humble giants after beating Karonga United 1-0 in a friendly organized by Willy Yabwanya Phiri at the Karonga United on Wednesday afternoon.

Substitute, Lupakisho Kazingo, needed only 11 minutes to head home two minutes from time to grant the Clever boys a sweet victory in a newly formed Karonga derby.

After a barren 45 minutes, Baka went close through Mwakyembe and Sherrif Shamama whereas Davie Tobias hit the post for Karonga before Kazingo's introduction on 77th minute to seal the win on 88th minute.

In other games, Karonga United Reserve lost 1-0 to Karonga United whereas Karonga United Women beat St Marys Women 3-1 on the same pitch.
