GWENGWE NETS HAT-TRICK IN SECOND PRE-SEASON MATCH

Malawian England based forward Shaquille Gwengwe has announced his full arrival at Newport County while giving them hopes for a perfect season after coming of the bench to score three goals in a 5-0 win over Newport City FC in their second pre-season match on Wednesday.

Gwengwe featured for their first pre-season game from the bench last week and was also a substitute as the team led 2-0 at half time.

After his introduction at the start ofn
the second half, Gwengwe found the net in the 68th minute with a cool finish before reacting quickly on a rebound in the 74th minute and 6 minutes later, he sent a glancing header into the net to complete a hat-trick.

The performance replicates his own when playing for a non-league Poole Town as he bagged 47 goals in just one season in all competitions to win the Southern League Premier South golden boot award with 42 points and a non-league sides golden boot award.
