Chawinga Named NWSL Player of the Month for May

Scorchers vice captain Temwa Chawinga has been named the National Women’s Soccer League Player of the Month for May in the USA.

The award follows her outstanding performances during the month, in which she scored seven goals in only five games to join the golden boot race.

Chawinga trails the league’s top scorer, Barbra Banda, by four goals as she eyes her third consecutive golden boot award in her third year in the US.
