PASUWA CALLS FOR FAIR PLAY IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
By Hastings Wadza Kasonga Jr
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets head coach, Kalisto Pasuwa, has demanded for fair play in African football saying referees should let the best team win on the day and not make decisions in favour of other teams.
Pasuwa said this after his team bowed out of the CAF Champions League following a 2-0 defeat over Red Arrows at the Heroes Stadium in Lusaka Zambia on Saturday afternoon.
He said the referee failed to award his team similar fouls that he awarded Red Arrows in the match.
He said: "Definitely we now down of the Champions League but again I thought maybe a times we need to have fair play when we are playing football. We played Red Arrows who were playing attacking Football in the first half but we contained them."
"We thought also we had some fouls that could have been in our advantage but we were not given then the same thing happened to us they were given and the game is decided by something else besides
Football which does not go well in our African football in the Champions League."
Arrows captain, Saddam Phiri scored from the spot on 65th minute after Ricky Banda went down without any contact into the box before Peter Katema tapping in with four minutes to go to seal the win.
The Zambian Champions will play TP Mazembe, which has Patrick Mwaungulu and Lanjesi Nkhoma, in the second round of the Preliminary games in the tournament.

"MY BOYS HAVE LOST CONFIDENCE" - KAUNDA
Karonga United head coach, Oscar Kaunda, says his boys have lost confidence and he needs to work out on it so that they return to their good performance in the league.
He said this after suffering a 1-0 defeat over Moyale Barracks at the Mzuzu Stadium and said failing to score in four consecutive games that has seen the team losing three of them in all competitions is lack of confidence.
"It was just a small mistake from our defense that lead our friends to score but it was a good game and a draw was a better result than a loss. I think the confidence has gone away from the boys which needs us as coaches to work on it so that we start winning games again." Said Kaunda.

He said this after the match at the Civo Stadium and believes that he has few things to correct in the team but as of today, the referee favoured the Nomads.
"It was a tough game, we played very and tried to find a goal but we failed we accept the loss. I don't like to talk about referee but see what they have done today, they have disallowed our goal that was similar to Wanderers goal so this is not good." Said Makawa.
He said that his team has really improved from the first round woes mainly in their first match and now he is having a team that can fight for something big.
The team stays 7th on the log table with 24 points from 18 games they have played this season.

An inside source has informed our publication that FOMO FC has demoted it's three players, Prince Kajore, Happy Phiri and Noel Phiri to its Reserve side which plays in the Division One League.
Kajore and Happy Phiri have been demoted following lack of game time which resulted into poor performances while goalkeeper Noel Phiri is due to discipline issues.

Meanwhile, Madalitso Maso will leave the team on loan to another team in search of more playing time as per request by his manager while Sheriff Maida's manager has asked the team to terminate his contract and search for opportunities elsewhere.

PASUWA SAYS BULLETS WANTS FDH BANK CUP
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets head coach, Kalisto Pasuwa, says his team will come with full force against Moyale Barracks in the Semi final of the FDH Bank Cup as they are also looking for the same cup.
Pasuwa said this ahead of the match on Wednesday evening at the Bingu National Stadium when the team was finalizing their trainings for the match.
Speaking with the team's media, Pasuwa said it will be a tough match as Moyale Barracks is a team that is too physical.
He said: "Moyale very physical team we played them in Blantyre we drew 1-1 and the first game again we drew 0-0 going into this it will be interesting and I think the team that goes on right mind of approach will carry the day."
He also said: "The difference [between Moyale game and Red Arrows game] is that they [Moyale] played a league match and us we played an international match and we are playing on the same pitch, very very tactical that we played against [Arrows] but this one it's
not more of a structured game that we play locally."
He further said that he has told the boys to not let this cup go for their CAF Champions League match against Red Arrows but they need to fight and at least perform better in both matches.
The winner of this match will play Blue Eagles, which beat Karonga United 2-0, in the finals of the competition.
PASUWA NOT HAPPY WITH FAM'S FAILURE TO SHIFT MOYALE'S MATCH
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets head coach, Kalisto Pasuwa, was left unhappy despite reaching the FDH Bank Cup final saying Football Association of Malawi is not helping them as Malawi's representatives in the CAF Champions League.
Pasuwa said this after his team recorded a 3-1 win over Moyale Barracks in the FDH Bank Cup semi finals and said frequent playing leads to injuries as most of his regulars are lost in these kinds of commitments.
"But again my plea also us as Bullets maybe we are representing the country and representing the country is for everyone but for us. May be to be playing in every three days, I have been complaining about injuries in my camp but if you can see we are playing Champions League and in three days time we are playing again and today I lost again some players I'm supposed to be playing Champions League again in three days time then at times it becomes difficult for us coaches and it may look as maybe or
what." Said Pasuwa.
He also asked for professionalism as he said changes on an eleventh hour is not good.
"But again we told to start the game five o'clock then we come three o'clock we are inside here then the game will start at half five players staying here more than three hours this is a big cup and we need to be professional in our approach."
Babatunde Adepoju stroke twice and assisted Ephraim Kondowe for the first goal to guide the People's team into the final where they will play Blue Eagles.

10 DRAWS, 8 GAMES WINLESS STREAK FOR KB
Kamuzu Barracks continues to struggle with form in the TNM Super League after recording their 10th draw of the season as they played a goalless draw against Karonga United at the Rumphi Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
The Soldiers were looking for their first win in 7 games, having last won on 30th of May 2024 2-1 against the same team they faced today but failed to find a goal that could have eased their woes in the League.
After the match, Charles Kamanga, head coach for Kamuzu Barracks said his boys played well in the match but officiation denied them points in the game.
He said: "It was a tough game as I said before this match Karonga is also a good side but let me thanks my players, they really played well today despite not scoring but I am not happy with the officiation today." Said Kamanga.
The team missed the top goal scorer, Zeliati Nkhoma, who was not even on the bench and Kamanga said he didn't Impress during training.
