Newly promoted Ekhaya FC, has unveiled Enos Chatama, as their head coach this season.

The team has unveiled him during a press conference held by the team this morning and the former FCB Nyasa Big Bullets has penned a two years contract.

The team has also announced their first three signings, Kesten Simbi, Ellias Missi and Happy Mphepo.

All players came from FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve under Chatama and Simbi has just been released by Bullets, Missi has left Bangwe All Stars while Pempho leaves Bullets Reserve.

Scorchers forward, Temwa Chawinga, has extended her contract with two years at Kansas City Current as she will stay at the club until 2028.

The team has announced the news via their Facebook page on Wednesday evening.

Temwa signed a two years deal in 2024 which was expiring January 2026 but has opted to extend it after enjoying life at the team.

The team plays in the National Womens Soccer League in USA and finished fourth last season with Temwa winning the golden boot after scoring 21 goals and won the Most Valuable Player of the season.

Moyale breaks up with three players

Northern region side, Moyale Barracks, has announced that their three players have departed from the team ahead of the 2025 season.

The team has announced that Prince Phiri, who joined from Silver Strikers in 2023, Tayani Phiri, who has played for just one season and Allan Kaunda Jr, whose contract has expired will not be part of the team anymore.

"We sincerely thank these players for their dedication, commitment, and contributions to the team. Their efforts on and off the pitch have been invaluable to the growth and success of Moyale Barracks Football Team." Wrote the part of the team's information.

HAMMERS ROPE IN NEW COACH

Castel Challenge Cup 2024 edition finalists, Mzuzu City Hammers have announced the coming in of Steven Nkwinika as the team's head coach.

The team made the announcement on Wednesday evening a day after announcing the firing of Kondwa Ikwanga.

In a press released signed by the team's general secretary, Benjamin Thole, the team believes that 6 years of experience from the coach will help them reach new heights.

Nkwinika was a head coach at Mbelwa Warriors, a team which played in the Northern Region Division League, before joining the Hammers.

Creck promote two Reserve players

Creck Sporting Club have announced that they have promoted two player, Ganizani Kapuchi and Clement Mdokhwe, from their Reserve team.

The team made the announcement through their official Facebook page on Wednesday afternoon.

Kapuchi, who plays as a defender and Mdokhwe, who is a midfielder, have both signed a three-year deal with the team.

NYIRENDA JOINS CRECK PERMANENTLY

Creck Sporting Club has announced the signing of goalkeeper, Emmance Nyirenda, who permanently joins the team from Silver Strikers.

The team signed Nyirenda last season on loan from the Bankers for a period of 6 months but now has completed his move to the team.

The penalty specialist has penned a two year deal with the team which make him to stay until 2027 at the club.

It was a hectic day for Mighty Wanderers on Tuesday after signing Mzuzu City Hammers goalkeeper Chancy Mtete and Karonga United Midfielder Nanison Mbewe, the Nomads also offered a one-year contract to their legendary goalkeeper Richard Chipuwa.

Towards the end of last season, Wanderers were considering of giving Chipuwa a new role at their youth team but decision has been reversed following club's failure to extend William Thole's contract.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets has released their squad for the 2025 season with their numbers that will be used by the players.

However, the name of attacker, Stanley Biliati does not appear on the list after the player reportedly turned down a contract extension but Alick Lungu, who was linked with a move to Zimbabwe according to reports appears.

After a while, the iconic number 7 will be used by an attacker after previously used by defenders, Sankhani Mkandawire then Precious Sambani but now it has gone to Peter Banda.

Mzuzu City Hammers has announced that they have parted ways with their head coach, Kondwa Ikwanga, on a mutual agreement.

The team has confirmed about the news through a press release signed by General secretary, Benjamin Thole.

Ikwanga guided the team to a fourth place finish and a Castel Challenge Cup final in the 2024 season.

Mponda: My eyes can't deceive me

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets head coach, Peter Mponda, says he is very sure that Andrew Juvinala is a kind of player who will add more value to the team as he saw his greatness with his eyes.

Mponda said this when witnessing the signing of the player who has left Blue Eagles and has strongly said his eyes can not deceive him on the quality of the player.

"I saw him three times, one in Kasungu, the other time when he was playing at Nankhaka and then in Mchinji, unfortunately the lower league plays on bumpy fields but still he could play comfortably so i said how can he now perform on a better field?" Said Mponda.

He further said that he needs to prove himself to people that he is indeed a top quality player by working hard at the team.

Juvinala has been part of Blue Eagles that was relegated in 2023 but he helped the team to come back in the elite League now in 2025.

Mponda: Juvinala covers Gome's gap

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets head coach, Peter Mponda, says the new signing, Andrew Juvinala, brings a direct replacement of Gomegzani Chirwa a he can play as a full back and also a center back.

Mponda said this when the player was signing a three years deal with his team from Blue Eagles and highlighted the importance of the player to the team.

“We have lost Gome as a right-back, but he was also playing as a centre-back. Andrew also plays as a right back and he can play as a centre back, so we're very comfortable in that position.” He said.

Meanwhile, he also said the team needs players who can operate in different positions so that they bring cover in case of injuries at the team.

He becomes Mponda's third signing of the season having sealed the signatures of Chikumbutso Henderson from Mzuzu City Hammers and Blessings Josephy from Chitipa United.

Mighty Wanderers has secured the services of goalkeeper, Chancy Mtete aged 22 from Mzuzu City Hammers.

According to Wa Ganyu, the Nomads have paid a fee sorrounding K8 million to Hammers and K7 million will be his signing on fee.

Wanderers was the only team which managed to score past Mtete in the Castel Challenge Cup in 90 minutes and the Nomads will have him for William Thole who is expected to leave the team.

He is the fourth player to leave Hammers only this month after Chikumbutso Henderson joined FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, Samuel Adeyemi went to Silver Strikers and Isaac Msiska left for Creck Sporting Club.

Mponda names Chirwa, Kondowe as assistants

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets has announced their technical panel of the 2025 season as head Coach Peter Mponda has named his full backroom staff to work with.

The team has made the announcement through their Website on Sunday which indicates that former FOMO FC head coach, Gilbert Chirwa and the team's legend, Fischer Kondowe will be his first and second assistants respectively.

Meanwhile,Victor Mphande is the goalkeeper coach while Zicco Mkanda, whom he worked with at Silver Strikers, has been appointed as a performance analyst and strikers trainer.

James Chilapondwa remains the team manager, Felix Mwalule is the team doctor, Malumbo Chikoko as equipment manager and Chisomo Chikwembani as welfare manager.

Chimwemwe Nkhoma is a physiotherapist, while Noel Kaole is the new fitness trainer and Ernest Vitto has retained his position as the security officer.

NYANGULU LEAVES WANDERERS

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers has announce the departure of their striker, Vincent Nyangulu, who mutually terminates his contract with a month to go.

In a letter signed by the team's Chief Executive Officer, Panganeni Ndovi, the team has thanked Nyangulu for his contribution to the team.

The move could be to speed up his signing to a new team as he is in Zimbabwe making trials at FC Platinum.

He joined the Nomads in 2019 from Masters Security and has been one of the important players at the team and the final half of the 2024 season, he was sent to loan at Creck Sporting Club.

MSOWOYA JOINS KAMWENDO AT CRECK

Creck Sporting Club has announced about the inclusion of former Flames forward, Chiukepo Msowoya, in a Joseph Kamwendo led technical panel as he will double the roles of a fitness and strikers' trainer.

The team made the announcement on Saturday through their Facebook page after sealing a deal with Msowoya.

Msowoya was on part time at Mighty Tigers as a strikers trainer last year and Creck has trusted him to add value in the team's attackers.

KHUDA EARNS VENDA'S FIRST START

Malawian forward, Khuda Muyaba, has made his first start for Venda Football Club this afternoon as the team play Cape Town Spurs in the Nedbank Cup in South Africa.

Muyaba makes his first appearance for the team since sealing his move to the team last month and he is wearing shirt number 49.

Meanwhile, the team is currently trailing by a goal to nil scored on 14th minute.

Muyaba makes a return to the team having played for Polokwane City in the same league before playing in the DSTV Premiership last season with Richards Bay.

Creck Sporting Club has announced that they have signed Mzuzu City Hammers forward, Isaac Msiska, who joins as a free agent.

The team made the announcement through their Facebook page on Saturday afternoon.

"We are thrilled to announce the signing of former Mzuzu City Hammers striker Isaac Msiska." Wrote the team.

The former Civil Service United attacker has penned a two years deal with the team and was one of the deadly forwards in 2024 when he scored 12 goals for Mzuzu City Hammers.

He becomes a third player to leave Hammers only this month after Chikumbutso Henderson and Samuel Ademeyi while others like Chancy Mtete, Chimwemwe Chunga, Isaiah Nyirenda and others are targeted by other teams.

Mighty Wanderers midfielder, Mphatso Kamanga underwent a successful orthopedic knee surgery at Matseke Hospital in Johannesburg on Friday, the team has confirmed.

This was Kamanga's second surgery as he also had another in Zimbabwe last month.

Several players such as Peter Banda, Antony Mfune, Tatenda M'balaka among others have had surgeries also in Kenya and Zambia following their injuries too.

Haiya seeks general public's ideas on Football development

Football Association of Malawi President, Fleetwood Haiya, says he will host a live Facebook session next month in order to have a talk with Malawians on how to develop Football in the country.

Haiya said this via his Facebook page on Thursday saying the move is to transform Malawian football together as a country.

He said he believes the live session will attract constructive ideas that will also help the former SULOM President to take a further step in developing football.

"In the first week of February, I will host a live session right here on Facebook to share and discuss ideas on how we can improve our football. I believe this interactive session will bring out collaborative ideas of transforming our game." Wrote Haiya.

This wil be the first program of its kind for Haiya to host since he took over as a FAM President and has seen the general public applauding him for the move.

Newly relegated FOMO FC, has announced that they have released their six players as the team gets geared for a new life in the 2025 NBS National Division League.

The team's General Secretary, Jimmy Maloya, confirmed about the news on Thursday saying three goalkeepers, Noel Phiri, Duncan Kumimba and Henry Mwayira, striker Arthur Kalondola, plus twins, Duncan and Oscar Mangwaya, will no longer be part of the team.

The team also says that all players that were on loan at the team will see their contracts not renewed and has so far wished them well.

Meanwhile, the team has appointed Jimmy Zakazaka to lead them in a bid to return into the Super League as he replaces Elvis Kafoteka.

Ekhaya United acquire Giants

South Region Premier Division Champions, Ekhaya, has reached an agreement with Ndirande Giants Womens team to be their Womens team side in accordance to the club licensing guidelines.

The team has made a move to allow themselves play in the TNM Super League in the 2025 season as per Twaha Chimuka's reports.

"In a move aimed at bolstering their presence in the women's game, Ekhaya United has reached an agreement to acquire Ndirande Giants FC as their official women's team." Wrote Chimuka.

Ndirande Giants plays in the Goshen City Southern Region Womens Football League and finished 6th in the just ended 2024 season to miss the national tournament.

Chitipa, Nyambose part ways

Chitipa United has announced that they will not renew their contract with their head coach, Christopher Nyambose, despite guiding them to a relegation survival on the final day last season.

The team has made an announcement through a press release signed by General Secretary, Watson Kabaghe, on Friday morning.

The club has however thanked Nyambose for his services to the team and that they will be working hard to find his replacement soon.

Mighty Wanderers has announced the end of partnership with one of their Sponsors, Mukuru, two years after their relationship.

The team has announced the news in a press release released on Thursday morning.

The company held the naming rights of the team meaning they will no longer be called Mighty Mukuru Wanderers in 2025 season.

Meanwhile, the Nomads find them and another sponsor, Ekhaya, in a jeopardy after the promotion of Ekhaya FC in the Elite League.

Nyangulu was on a move already away from the Nomads with Ekhaya FC and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets chasing him but he is on trial with FC Platinum where Precious Phiri and Nickson Nyasulu are there.

Adeyemi promises fire at Bankers

Silver Strikers' newly signed forward, Samuel Adeyemi, says the team's fans should hope for the positive side of him and not the negative one as he feels great to be part of the Bankers.

He said this on Friday when he was signing his contract with the Bankers to confirm his move from Mzuzu City Hammers in undisclosed fee.

He said, "I am so happy to be here, it feels great to be here. They [fans] should expect the positive side of me and not the negative side."

He also said the Malawian league is good and competitive and that it is comprised of talented players.

The Nigerian forward joins the team alongside Festus Duwe to become the Bankers' first signing of new coach, Peter Mgangira.

Duwe: I am happy to join a big team

Silver Strikers new signing, Festus Duwe, says he is happy to join the Bankers as it is every player's wish to play one of the big teams in the country.

He said this after signing a three year deal with the TNM Super League champions to complete his move from Ascent Academy.

He said he will remain committed at the club and also needs to work hard as the competition is high at the team.

"I am very to join one of the biggest clubs in the country as it is every boys wish to join these teams so i am looking forward to an amazing time here." He said.

Duwe was one of the standout midfielders in the 2024 season when he was playing on loan at Civil Service United as he netted a fastest hat trick in the League since 2006.

Duwe says Goodbye to Civil

Former Civil Service United player, Festus Duwe, has written the Civil servants an emotional farewell message as he joins Silver Strikers ahead of the 2025 season.

Duwe was one of the best performers at Civil last season where he was playing on loan from Ascent Academy but the team failed to secure a permanent move for the player.

"You've been more than just teammates,you've been friends, mentors, and a second family to me. The memories we've created on and off the field will stay with me forever." He wrote.

Meanwhile, the team has also wished him all the best in his next chapter at their neighbours through a facebook post on Friday.

CAF B Coach, Elvis Kafoteka, has joined Mpira Mmudzi Mwathu, a day after FOMO FC confirmed his departure from the team.

The Academy has confirmed about the news through their Facebook page and that Kafoteka will join their Mzuzu Soccer School.

He has seen two of his teams he managed in 2023 and 2024, Extreme FC and FOMO, getting relegated and also joined Chitipa United in 2024 season before moving to Mulanje.

Chatama ends 8 year Bullets stay

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets has announced that their Reserve coach, Enos Chatama, has left the team following an agreement with the team.

The team made an announcement through their website on Friday afternoon to mark his 8 years stay at the team.

Speaking after his departure, Chatama said, "It has been a hard decision to make as Bullets has been part of my family but i need to look forward to my next move."

Chatama has managed to win 21 trophies with the team and in his time, he has produced quality players for the team.
