PEMBA RENEWS NOMADS PARTNERSHIP
Pemba Rubber Stamp has renewed their partnership with Mighty Mukuru Wanderers for the 2024 season as the company will continue awarding player of the month at the team.
This has been disclosed on Friday afternoon at the Golden Peacock in Blantyre when the two sides signed papers in agreement to the extension of the deal.
Speaking during the signing in ceremony, the managing director of the company, Davie Pemba, said his company thought of coming back at the team because players were left motivated when getting these awards in 2023.
"We thought it wise that we should extend the deal because Wanderers worked hard and performed well last season only that they missed the trophies but players played well because they were motivated with these awards."
"Now this year, we are expecting them to perform better than they did last year and that may be this year they can win the trophies." Said Pemba.
Meanwhile, the team's Chief Executive Officer, Panganani Ndovi, said the deal will help in developing football in the country and also restoring the team's glory, which they are working now.
"We are very happy to have extended this partnership, i think this is one way of making the game uplifted and also that players get motivated when they win these awards as they go with something and also the driving skills which will help them in life after football as they will display these skills and accolades." Said Ndovi.
As stated by Pemba, the company will award the player of the month with a miniature, amount of K300,000 plus driving school lessons offered at K700,000 which will be offered to the player and also his relative if he already knows how to drive.
The partnership is for one year, that's 2024 season, and it will start from the month of April to December this year.
"OUR FIRST WIN IS AGAINST SILVER" - MUYOMBE
Baka City interim coach, Davie Muyombe, said enough is enough as they are going to pick their first ever TNM Super League win on Saturday as they play Silver Strikers in their fifth game of the season.
Muyombe said this ahead of the match at the Karonga Stadium and said his team needs a win more so that they move up further in the log table and the win will comes on Saturday.
"We have prepared very well maybe we failed to win in Blantyre because of some technical errors but this time we have sorted them out and I'm telling you that our first win will be tomorrow."

Silver Strikers head coach, Peter Mponda, said the pitch at the Karonga Stadium is not in good shape but that will not be an excuse for them as they want three points on Saturday.
Mponda said this ahead of their match against Baka City on Saturday and said the rookies will be looking for maximum points but they need a win to consolidate their fine start of the season.
"We have prepared very well, we know we are playing on a bad pitch but that will not be our excuse as we want to win in this match so that we prove to ourselves that we have started well in the League." Said Mponda.

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers has received a major boost ahead of their meeting with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in their first Blantyre Derby of the season as they welcome back their captain, Lawrence Chaziya and midfielder, Blessings Singini from injury.
The team's deputy coach, Meke Mwase, has confirmed the development when he talked to the members of the Press on Friday and said he has no injury ahead of the Blantyre Derby.
"No, we don't have injuries in the team as everyone is fit for the game and we are full house unless there are other sporting related issues." Said Mwase.
Meanwhile, ahead of the game, Mwase said the Nomads have prepared very well for the game and are looking for a positive result in the match.

Scorchers defender, Chimwemwe Madise, has left Zambian side, Elite Ladies after playing for the club for the past three years.
The team confirmed the news this week that they have cancelled a one year extension Bvumbe for the player to allow her leave permanently after she already triggered the one year extension last week.

Super League of Malawi has announced that the game involving Kamuzu Barracks and Bangwe All Stars will be played at the Aubrey Dimba Stadium not the Civo Stadium as earlier communicated.
The Association has announced this on Thursday saying due to some factors the match has been moved to Mchinji.
"Due to factors beyond our control the match between Kamuzu Barracks FC and Bangwe All Stars FC has been moved to Aubrey Dimba Stadium at Kapiri in Mchinji on Sunday 5th March 2024. The match was originally staged for Civo Stadium. Any inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted." Wrote SULOM.
This will be for the first time for the pitch to host a Super League match as it was certified not fit because of no stands and some other structures in the facility.
Easter Zimba will officiate the Blantyre that involves FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers after the two teams opposed Mayamiko Kanjere as the center referee.
In the Blantyre Derby, Clemence Kanduku and Pondamali Tembo will be the Assistant referees for the match.

Silver Strikers has released three names of players that have been nominated for the April Mika Greenland Player of the Month award.
The club made the announcement on Wednesday after the trio performed well in the just ended month that saw the Bankers topping the standing with 10 points from three wins and a draw.
Meanwhile, 19 year old Adiel Kaduya, is a favourite to win the accolade having scored 4 goals and one assist and won three man of the match award while Katinji got three goals and three assists in the month and Vunga had a good display on the midfield.

OKEDINA'S CAMBRIDGE UNITED SURVIVES RELEGATION IN LEAGUE ONE
Flames defender, Jubril Okedina, helped his team, Cambridge United, survive relegation in England's League one, which is a third tier League, after finishing three places above the relegation zone.

Premier Bet company and TNM Super League side Dedza Dynamos have signed a sponsorship agreement worth K100 million until the end of the season with an option to extend.
The signing ceremony took place today at Premier Bet Offices in Limbe,Blantyre.
As part of the sponsorship agreement ,the team will now be called Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos FC.
Inside the deal, MK100,000 will be provided to the player of the month until the end of the season, Player of the year will get MK500,000, Fan player of the year will also get MK500,000 and the supporter of the year will get MK200,000 as well.

CHAWINGA CAN'T SAVE PSG
Tabitha Chawinga scored a goal but was not enough to take PSG through to the final of the UEFA Womens Champions League as the Parisans lost 1-2 to Olympic Lyon in their second of the semis on Sunday.
Chawinga had to level the game on 41st minute after Lyon had taken an early lead but the visitors scored their winner on 81st minute to progress into the final 5-3 on aggregate.
Chawinga finishes her debut campaign with 6 goals and three assists in 12 games in the tournament and one goal plus one assist came in the Preliminary round.

SAIZI OPENS ZANACO ACCOUNT
Flames midfielder, Robert Saizi, scored his first goal for ZANACO as the Bankers beat Kabwe Warriors 2-1 in the MTN Super League in Zambia on Sunday.
Saizi was granted a start in the match and paid the trust with an opener on 10th minute before Isaac Shamujompa on 44th minute and Aka Mwachiaba Scored for Warriors in the second half for a consolation.
Meanwhile, Chawanangwa Kaonga was not available for ZANACO the same as Chifundo Mphasi missed for Warriors too.

Silver Strikers head coach, Peter Mponda, said he was happy with the performance of his boys saying their response after conceding was great.
Mponda said this after team recorded a 5-1 win over MAFCO on Saturday and the goals could have exceeded if his boys had converted every chance found.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets head coach, Callisto Pasuwa, hailed his boys for their brilliant performance that saw them picking a 2-1 win over Baka City at the Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Pasuwa said his team struggled against Baka because they did not know their style of play but his boys always try to bring a good result even on a bad day.

Creck Sporting Club coach, Macdonald Mtetemera, was not pleased with the team's result on Saturday and said he has a lot of work to do after they suffered a second straight at the Civo Stadium on Saturday.
Mtetemera said this in reaction to their 2-1 loss at home to Mzuzu City Hammers and said it is not good to suffer to loses in a row and something needs to be done.
"It's a painful loss and i am not happy, it's bad to twice consecutively and I think we need to work hard and I have a lot of work to do otherwise this is a very bad result." Said Mtetemera.
