Mighty Wanderers thrashed Chitipa United 4-0 to reach the quarter finals of FDH Cup on Saturday.

The nomads scored in the 6th min through Vincent Nyangulu after receiving a beautiful cross from Stanley Sanudi who had a great game.

Vitumbiko Kumwenda, Manyozo Jnr and Rafik Namwela controlled the midfield and gave pressure to Chitipa with their passes from one player to another. Nyangulu made it 2-0 in the 37th min.

After halftime, the nomads continued from where they left, dominating in all areas and giving havoc to Chitipa. Not surprisingly, man of the match Nyangulu scored his third goal.

Peter Wadabwa who came from the bench make it 4. From there it was a dancing time for nomads until the last whistle. It ended 4-0 in favour of the home team.

Malawi are now bottom of the table having played 2 games: a 2-2:draw against Zimbabwe and a 2-0 loss to Mozambique, they have a single point.

This means it's a must win game this Tuesday against Namibia for them to have a chance to qualify into the semis.

And that's if they also win in their last game against Senegal who are playing in this tournament as visitors.

Half time score 1-0 in favour of Malawi. In the 50th minute, Schumacher Kuwali made it 2-0 before Blessings Sarupinda scored in the 62nd minute and Musaka in 79th minute for Zimbabwe to make it 2 all.
