Chawinga leads Lyonnes come-back in UWCL
Tabitha Chawinga netted a goal that energised her team to stage a massive comeback as they scored three second half goals to take the game from 3-0 down to hold Juventus 3-3 in the UEFA Womens Champions League on Wednesday.
Chawinga was handed in the match which saw the French giants struggling in the opening 45 minutes to concede three goals from the Italians.
Chiara Beccari opened the scores in the 12th minutr before Michela Cambiaghi doubling the scores in 27 minutes and 10 minutes later, Tatiana Pinto got the third.
Meanwhile, Chawinga pulled one back on the hour-mark before being replaced by Marie-Antoinette Katoto three minutes later who got the second in the 79th minute and Wendie Lenard scored from the spot in the 90th minute to snatch a point.
The result helped the team to become the first to progress through to the knock-out stage of the competition.
