Temwa wins second MVP award in America
Scorchers vice captain, Temwa Chawinga stole the show during the National Womens Soccer League award presentation after snatching three awards in one night on Wednesday in USA.
Chawinga won the most Valuable Player in the league for the second time in two years after beating the other four candidates for the award.
She was also presented the golden boot award which she reclaimed after scoring 15 goals and provided three assists this season for Kansas City Current.
The third award for her was to have a place in the best XI of the NWSL which she appeared as a left Wing Forward, a position she has been playing most in the league.
Chawinga has settled well in America in her first two years which has seen her breaking a number of records as she has become the first player after Sam Kerr to win back-to-back golden boot awards, also the fastest player to reach 30 NWSL goals in just 41 games and also drove the team to win their first eve NWSL Shield.
