KENYA TO HOST AFRICAN CHAMPIONS IN MALAWI
Kenya National Football team will use the Bingu National Stadium as their home ground as they are set to host African Champions, Cote d'Ivoire and Burundi in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in June.
This has been confirmed by the country's seasoned Journalist, Fred Alocho, via his Facebook page and said the country has no stadium to host high profile matches.
"Kenya's Harambee Stars to ‘host’ the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Côte d’Ivoire and Burundi in Malawi in June as there won’t be a stadium ready to host these matches in Nairobi, Kenya." Wrote Alocho.
The Harambee Stars were in Malawi in March for the four Nations tournament which they beat Malawi 4-0 and Zimbabwe 3-1 to win the trophy and thanked the hospitality in the warm heart of Africa.
