FLAMES READY FOR WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS - MABEDI
Flames coach, Patrick Mabedi, said he has gotten what he wanted for the team and it is good to go for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in June.
Mabedi said this after a 1-2 defeat against Zambia and said the competition gave him a platform to see how to use other players in absence of other regulars.
"I wanted to see how other players can perform and surely they have passed and I can comfortably say that we are ready to play in the World Cup Qualifiers." Said Mabedi.
Meanwhile, the coach also explained the absence of some foreign based players.
"Okedina had a stomach problem that why he was replaced, Henri [Kumwenda] picked a knock at the training while Takondwa Maosa had a knock that's why they didn't play together. Chembezi did well as a left back, I think Kieran Ngwenya will come in our next games, as of now he was committed and the team could not release him." Mabedi added.
