CHAWINGA NETS FIRST CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GROUPS GOAL
Scorchers captain, Tabitha Chawinga, produced a remarkable performance after recording her first UEFA Champions League Group stage goal and an assist as PSG claimed an away 3-1 victory against Italian Serie A Champions, AS Roma, on Wednesday night.
Chawinga chipped off the Roman goalkeeper in the first half to give the visitors a lead at half time before assisting her Captain Bartimole, passing the ball where she was tightly marked with five players on 58th minute.
The Parisans then led 3-0 deep in the second half before a late consolation goal from the hosts through a wonderful free kick for PSG to win 3-1.
The team now has 6 points on second position, a point behind Ajax, a point ahead of Roma and two points ahead of Bayern in their group of death and they have to stage a revenge against Ajax and Bayern Munchen.
