HAIYA PREACHES A VIOLENCE FREE DERBY
The Super League of Malawi President, Fleetwood Haiya, has said he is expecting spectators in the much anticipated Blantyre Derby match involving FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers not to display violent acts in the match.
Haiya wrote this on his Facebook page on Friday ahead of the country's biggest fixture and said Violence has no part in the beautiful game of football.
"Let me appeal to all supporters of both teams to peacefully support their teams. Violence and hooliganism of any kind, has no place in our game. Together we stand for a violence free derby. Let football be the ultimate winner, as we Revive, Reform and Rebrand our elite league." Wrote Haiya.
The two sides settled for a draw in their last meeting in the first round and in their previous five meetings in the league, both sides have a win and three draws.
