"AT LEAST TWO YEARS SUSPENSION WAS BETTER" - MKANDA DISAPPOINTED WITH NKHAKANANGA'S PUNISHMENT
Former Flames hit man, Zicco Mkanda, says the punishment that Football Association of Malawi's referees committee has slapped referee, Godfrey Nkhakananga is few and not befitting the damage he caused during his costing error.
Mkanda said this via his Facebook account after FAM suspended Nkhakananga for only four months after allowing a goal to stand despite blowing for a free kick as Silver Strikers played Mighty Mukuru Wanderers last week. He says at least two years ban could sound better.
"I am very disappointed with the decision made by FAM's Referees Committee to suspend referee Godfrey Nkhakananga for just four months. The man with the whistle caused significant disruptions and should have received a more severe penalty to set a precedent.
