RELEGATED BAKA STUN RELEGATION THREATENED FOMO
TNM Super League relegated side, Baka City, has secured their first win in the second round of the league as they came from behind to beat relegation threatened side, FOMO FC 2-1 at the Karonga Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
FOMO scored an opener through Hussein Hassan on 14th minute but Tambulani Mwale pulled level on 47th minute from the spot before Augustin Msowoya netting the winner three minutes later.
Team manager for the team, Davie Kayira, said his players were told to be more serious in the second half after a sloppy first half that's why they won the game.
"In the first half we did not play well and we told the boys to be serious at half time and in the second half we came strong and got those two goals in the game." Said Kayira.
The win is second for the team this season as they now have 11 points from 26 games and they are still anchoring the table.
BAKA SAYS THEY ARE TIRED OF LOSING
Baka City assistant coach, Davie Kayira, says his team is very tired of losing and they will just finish their remaining games in order to start all over again in the Northern Region Football League with the hope of returning to the elite League in 2026.
He said this after the team lost 2-3 on post match penalties to non League side, Hilltop FC after a 1-1 draw in the 90 minutes at the Karonga Stadium on Saturday and said his team lost because they underrated their opponents.
He further said that his team needs to be rebuilt when they go to the lower but as for now, things are worse than before.
"I think there's nothing more left here, we are tired of losing and what will do is to just finish our games so that we go back to the lower league and maybe we may come again next year." Said Kayira.

BAKA HOPES CAN STAY IN THE LEAGUE
Baka City head coach, Kondwani Mwalweni, says anything can happen if it is staying or getting relegated in the League as long as the team finishes their games in the League.
He was speaking on Sunday after his team put a gallant fight against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets where they scored an own goal to give Bullets a win in the match.
He said he will be keeping on changing the players to find the best players to try to save the team to stay in the League.
He said: "Anything can happen as long as we finish all other games in the League."
The team stays on 16th position as they have 8 points from 21 games in the League as they have managed to claim a win, five draws and 15 defeats.

Baka City head coach, Kondwani Mwalweni, says it is not new in Football for a team to suffer huge defeats but as coaches, they are trying to fix things so that they start collecting maximum points.
He said this after the team's 10-0 defeat in hands of Mighty Mukuru Wanderers at the Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday afternoon and said his team is now focusing onto their next match against Bangwe All Stars.
"It happens in Football so we accept the defeat. We as coaches are trying to set things right so that we start collecting points but only that luck is not on our side but we will continue trying so that we start picking points." Said Mwalweni.
He further said that the team is facing a lot of problems that can not be said on the air but those are hindering their successes in the League.
The team remains 16th on the table with 8 points from 20 games having won once, drawn five times and 14 defeats.

He said this on Friday ahead of their match against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers at the Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday and said they wish to see their team remaining in the League.
"We are trying hard to see our team move out of where we are unfortunately we are facing a lot of obstacles that we can't say here but we will keep on trying." Said Mwalweni.
He further said his team is ready to face the Nomads as they will be hunting for maximum points in order to push up further.
The rookies have managed to pick only one win, five draws and suffered 13 defeats in the League as they stay 16th with 8 points.

Baka City head coach, Kondwani Mwalweni, said that he was not happy with how match officials have handled their match against Blue Eagles and believes that they agreed to give the game to the Area 30 based side.
Mwalweni spoke this to the media after his team lost 0-3 to be knocked out of the FDH Bank Cup at the Karonga Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
He believes that the referee had a hand in the team's defeat as Eagles' second goal was a foul in their favour but still the referee awarded them.
"It was a tough game yes but I'm not impressed with how match officials have handled this game, I think they agreed to give the game to Blue Eagles already. The second goal for them was a foul but the referee awarded them and was the time our team was settling so we were disturbed." Said Mwalweni.

Baka City Interim coach, Kondwani Mwalweni, said time has come for the team to get their first win of the season as they have carried every weapon to use on Friday.
He said this ahead of the team's match against Civo United at the Civo Stadium and said they have no barrier which can restrict them to pick their first win.
"We are ready for Civo, we know it would be tough but we have waited for our first win and I think we will get it on Friday, we are going there for maximum points." Said Mwalweni.

Baka City has become the latest team to cry out about the officiation after saying that the referee frustrated their players so that they lose their match on Saturday.
The team's team manager, Alick Zungu, said this after they lost 0-2 to Silver Strikers and said his team played well very, managed to control the game but referees got a hand in their defeat.
"We played very well but I have never complained about officiation but this have to speak on what happened today. There are a lot to be done because this affects the team's, this is not good at all." Said Zungu.
Meanwhile, he said fans should wait as the team will start picking wins soon because their play has improved and in the Silver game, they could have won but the referee stunned them.
The team remain winless in the debut season in five games as they have managed to make a draw but have lost all remaining four games to have a point on position 16.
