Scorchers forward, Temwa Chawinga, has extended her contract with two years at Kansas City Current as she will stay at the club until 2028.

The team has announced the news via their Facebook page on Wednesday evening.

Temwa signed a two years deal in 2024 which was expiring January 2026 but has opted to extend it after enjoying life at the team.

The team plays in the National Womens Soccer League in USA and finished fourth last season with Temwa winning the golden boot after scoring 21 goals and won the Most Valuable Player of the season.
