Chawinga produces one hour show in Lyones win

Scorchers captain, Tabitha Chawinga, produced a brilliant performance in 60 minutes as she was directly involved in four goals in Ol Lyones' 6-2 win over Marseille Women in the Arkema Premiere Ligue in France on Saturday.

Chawinga bagged two goals and provided two assists before being replaced by Marrie Katoto in the 60th minute of the game.

She scored her first in the first minute of the added time in the first half before completing her double in the 51st minute. She assisted two further goals in a space of two minutes before being withdrawn.

The two goals took her up to third in the golden boot race with 9 goals, five goals behind Romee Leuchter and one behind Merveille Kanjinga, both for PSG.

She is also a third joint player with most assists in the League (5), Leuchter and Kanjinga have 7 and 6 to their names respectively.
