"Caps has beaten our Reserve side" - Msukwa
Silver Strikers Assistant coach Mapopa Msukwa has expressed satisfaction with his players' performance against Caps United, saying they dominated the Zimbabwean team, which managed to score only after introducing their reserve players.
Msukwa spoke after his team lost 1-0 in a friendly match at the Silver Stadium, where he noted that his team had only trained for four days.
"It was an open game where we just asked players who wanted to play to come, that's why we didn't have our regulars. But still, we dominated them, and I knew we would give them a good match because we are bigger than them – we play in CAF," he said.
Msukwa also praised Caps United, saying they need to improve coordination but have the potential to build a good team for the upcoming season in Zimbabwe.
The two teams will meet again on Wednesday for another friendly, with Msukwa promising to use his reserve side players to assess their promotion to the senior team.
