Embangweni United completes NDL teams
Embangweni United have completed the number of teams competing in the National Division League for next season after securing their promotion following their confirmation as the champions of the Mbelwa Northern Region Football League in a 6-0 thrashing of Chizumulu United on Wednesday.
The team dominated the game, scoring five goals in the first half through Blessings Nyirenda's brace and strikes from Petros Kamanga, Isaac Ngulube, and Saviour Nkhoma. Tawera Chunga added the final goal in the second half.
Embangweni United's win opened a 10-point gap over second-placed Lube Masters, with one game left to play. They finish the season with 62 points from 29 games, having won 20, drawn two, and lost seven.
The champions have joined Chilobwe United (South), Extreme FC (Centre), and Changalume Barracks (East) in the NDL.
