Henry Leads NBM Premiership Player of the Season Nominees

Silver Strikers Ladies forward, Deborah Henry, appears to be a favourite to win the NBM Women's Premiership Player of the Season award following her brilliant performance in the league.

Henry scored 24 goals from 18 games, won more Player of the Match awards than any other player (six), and scored against every team in the tournament. She has been nominated alongside her teammate Ireen Khumalo and Ascent Academy's Leticia Chinyamula for the award.

Meanwhile, Khumalo will compete with Ascent's Maureen Kenneth and Civil Women's Emily Samuel for Best Defender. Chinyamula's competitors for Best Midfielder are Sarah Mlimbika of Ntopwa and Wanderers' Funny Moyo.

Henry is set to claim the Top Goal Scorer accolade, while Ireen Sibande of Silver Strikers is likely to be named Best Goalkeeper for keeping the most clean sheets in the league.
