Mtondera is the favourite to win NDL Player of the season award

Mitundu Baptist talisman, Raheem Mtondera, is the favourite to claim the NBS Bank National Division League player of the season after his stellar performance that earned his team a place in the Elite League.

Mtondera has been nominated for the award having scored 25 goals in 18 games he played to win the golden boot award.

Meanwhile, he is set to compete with Red Lions duo Mphatso Magaleta and Zikhole Ngulube for the award.

Mtondera will get the Golden Boot while Omary Hamiss of Baka City is the Goalkeeper of the Season after recording the most clean sheets.

Magaleta, Alexander Cosmas of Namitete Zitha and Chitsanzo Saidi of FOMO FC will battle for the midfielder of the season and the Defender of the Season category has Ngulube is once again nominated alongside Mwiza Chiona of Baka City and Lloyd Chilenga of Ntaja United.

The winners of the awards will be announced during the FAM Annual Football Awards.
