HAMMERS NEED 10 GOALS AGAINST BULLETS TO SURVIVE
Mzuzu City Hammers are mathematically in but out of the TNM Super League as they need 10 goals against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in their final match of the season following their 3-0 defeat against Silver Strikers at the Silver Stadium on Wednesday.
The last years fourth placed team needed a win against the Bankers in their bid for survival but conceded two first half goals and another in the second half.
Head coach for the team, Elias Chirambo, said his team tried but the Bankers were just too strong for them.
''We played very well and we really tried hard as we wanted a win but it happens in football, we failed to get goals hence the defeat and a bad result for us,'' said Chirambo.
The Hammers find themselves three points behind 13th placed Goshen City Hammers but they have a deficit of 10 goals in goal difference meaning it just a matter of time to be confirmed relegated.
They are 14th in the League with 28 points from 7 wins, 7 dr
