Civil Women beat TOPIK to enter into top five
Civil Women bounced back from their loss against Ascent Academy last week brilliantly after beating relegated TOPIK Academy 2-0 to claim their fourth win in the second round at the Civo Stadium on Saturday.
Anna Bazilio netted a brace to take her tally to three goals in the league and guide the Civil servants past the bottom-of-the-table side to move up into the top five of the League.
Head coach for Civil Women, Collins Pofera, was happy with the win that has pushed the team near the top three in the League.
''It was a good game where we started very well and we created a lot of chances unfortunately we failed to convert them then we told the girls to stop playing casually and it paid off in the second half,'' said Pofera.
On the other side, head coach Levi Mhone, said that his team has improved greatly in the League and was happy with the performance of the team.
''It was a good game where it was balancing and first half we have
conceded through a penalty but second half, we dominated only to be caught on a counter attack by Civil. I am happy with the performance today and the girls are learning well,'' said Mhone.
The victory took Civil Women up to number 5 in the League with 22 points from 6 wins, four draws and four defeats in the League while TOPIK Academy remain bottom with 3 points from three draws and 11 defeats in the League.
