Songwe eye Super League return in 2027
Songwe Border United are optimistic that they will return into the TNM Super League so soon after being relegated from the league a year after their promotion.
The team had their relegation confirmed on Wednesday after suffering a 3-0 home defeat against Mzuzu City Hammers at the Karonga United.
The team's technical Director, Gift Chilongo, said that the team will not take long in the second tier league.
''We will soon come back into the league because we are losing no player. We will keep the squad so that we win together and return in style,'' said Chilongo.
The team has had a tough season which saw them having three different coaches but have managed just one win and three draws in 25 games.
With five games left, they have 6 points in the league and have conceded 59 goals while scoring just only 9 in the process.
